Site desk studies

GWG recommend that the first you thing you do before any invasive investigation is to commission us to conduct a desk study. A site desk study consists of a review of all the relevant available data about the site.

A site desk study normally covers the following areas:

  • Establishing the existing and historical land use
  • Geology, Hydrology, Hydrogeology
  • Anecdotal Information
  • Potential contaminants
  • Walkover survey
  • Environmental data search; locations of waste sites, other industrial sites, and pollution incidents.
